Last night (28th) I had the honour and privilege to represent our lodge on a visit to Llewellin Lodge 7907 to witnsss the installation of their new WM, WBro Ben Turner.
On arrival there was evidence of a significant provincial presence as WBro Ben having been through the chair of King Soloman some three years ago, and subsequently undertaken the role of a Provincial Steward, it was very evident the high regard that many of those brothers held for WBro Ben.
But I’m getting ahead of myself. The outgoing master and now IPM, WBro Adrian Hand who I’d met at my own and subsequently Dunkerleys Installation of WBro William Burstow, was greeting all visitors at the door with his usual cheery demeanour had previously confessed that he was very nervous about the evening, but I have to say he performed his duties splendidly as did WBro Ben with the instalation of his officers.
The festive board was one of the best I can remember attending for a long time. Bursting at the seams and full of banter with excellent food, thanks to our new caterer.
All future invites I receive will be communicated to all members, as if possible I’d like to see if we can get a party together and undertake a few visits en masse to show support of other lodges and promote 8641, so keep those eyes peeled on the emails.
